sketches...sketches

I'm thinking of uploading some of my sketches onto my web site. I haven't update that site for a much too long time. Here's one of my favorites...I remember looking at his picture at the back of his book thinking "Wow, look at this guy's glasses!". In case you don't know who this is...this, is Aldous Huxley, the author of the a crazy little sci-fiction called "Brave New World". I'm doing a major renovation on my web site, so until then...

About...on the train

I had this idea awhile back, it was during winter, I was on a train, it was crowded and I was squished between two strangers...The story of the comic was kind of about that...sort of...

Anyway, the first image is the sketch drawings I had of my first take on the characters. Of course, the final version of the characters are far from alike (especially the girl). I did the comic on an impulse just last week. I was working on my long term project and desperately needed a diversion break, thus, this mini/one shot comic was born!

I made the girl have a long straight hair at first, but in the sketch I just realized that she looks so cranky, I would be too on a crowded over-heat train, though, that was not the emotion I had in mind for her. On the comic you will see that I made her look more daze, rather than p.o.

As for the male character, the final and first versions are quite similar actually. I made both versions wear a jacket, a wool
hat, and holding a cup of coffee.

Granted, it isn't the only comic I've ever done, it is the first comic I've ever posted so the public can see it. I still have a lot to learn, but all in all...I'm just happy I finally have something solid to show you all.

Until next time...thanks for reading.

p.s. I tried to post the comic on blogger, but they turned out too small. You can view the comic at this fb link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2054692&id=43102483&l=350c7be993

Rush 4 Lambda Chi Alpha

Hello,

I had a chance to designed a rush t-shirt for the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House. I came up with the usual standard three designs. The first one is pretty self-explanatory, it's a guy running (to play with the word "Rush"), then I did a "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil" to show the idea of the party animal these boys will probably become once they joined the house. Last design also plays with the same idea as the previous one, that only the weekend will lighten these boys up. None of the designs were used, though I still had a good time making them. So, here they are! (sorry, no sketches available)

Will be giving you updates on the comic soon. Until then!

Temporarily absent

Hi all,

I know, I know, I havn't been posting up anything new for awhile...thing is I've been slightly pre-occupied, and a lot had been going on. Anyway, I'm back, and I'm working again! I'm going back to my roots of passion-comic, and am currently working on a couple of stories. It's a long term process, so it'll be awhile before I can put up anything solid. However, don't leave me yet, I'm still here! Hopefully, I'll be able to show you samples of my comic by the end of the year. Until then~!

Best,
Grams

Latest Works

Hello,

I was invited by my friend Jun Eun Lee (http://jungeunart.com/) to join an exhibition held at the Palisades Park Media Center library. The reception was held on Thursday July 16th, and I thank all the people that came to see our show. I think it's a small foot prints we've all made in the industy, but at least we've all made one. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to do something like this again.

Special Thanks to

I'm going logo

July 15th, 2009

I created this logo for a friend of mine. She came upwith a pretty soild idea on how she'd like her logo to be, though having said that, the final result was far from what the first sketch looks like. Bottom line I like it, she loves it, everybody is happy.
